7/23/12 Tarbell is a strong muscular athlete. As a catcher he demonstrated solid hands and good arm strength. He registered one of the best pop times of the day at 1.87.  He consistently was around or below 2.0.  At the plate he has a physical approach and sit in spin mechanics. His hands worked well and he had a good swing path.

On the mound, Tarbell once again showed his arm strength being 83-84 mph. He looks the part and has high 3/4 to over the top slot.  He did throw strikes with his fastball but his breaking ball was a little in consistent, although it did show signs of being solid.
