Hollister is another high-end prospect in Missouri’s 2024 group on this Royals Scout Team, slotting just outside the top-400 nationally for his class. He packs a punch from a 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame, flashing juice off the barrel from a long right-handed stroke that keeps his barrel in the zone. Hollister’s a sure-handed defender at third base with a strong, accurate arm across the infield. The Blue Springs South standout represented Team Select at the Future Games last year as an underclassman, and he’ll make the trip back to LakePoint again later this month with Team Missouri.
Positional Profile: 2B

Utilizes a high leg kick and gather at the top while coiling the upper half. Gets big load into lower half and lands balanced with good control. Showcases very good bat speed and is showing good strength at contact. Gets most out of body with swing and is very aggressive with the bat path. Projects to have high hit tools and potential power.

Defense: In the infield shows good rhythm and body control. Soft hands and good glove action. Plays underneath the ball well. Showcases lateral quickness and ability to cover some ground.

Grant Hollister: 2B/OF, (2024) Blue Springs South, MO. 5-foot-8, 158-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 86 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a leg kick before his swing. Has explosive bat speed, rotational swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Pull side approach. Above average in the infield, his best throw was registered at 82 mph; has soft hands, consistent feet and a clean exchange. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a high ¾ slot and a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.15.
The top uncommitted prospect in Missouri’s 2024 class, 3B Grant Hollister (Blue Springs South) proved he’s more than capable of impacting the baseball at a high level at the Future Games. A strong 5-foot-11, 175-pound athlete, Hollister regularly produced against quality arms throughout the event, putting together competitive at-bats on repeat and finding the barrel with authority at times. He paced Team Missouri offensively in one contest, homering to the opposite field and turning on a loud single to left field afterwards. Sure-handed on the infield with 90+ mph arm strength to pair, Hollister’s all-around skill-set shouldn’t keep him on the market for much longer.
