Lean, athletic 6-foot, 180-pound frame with room to add size and strength. The left-handed hitter sets up in a tall, open stance with active hands pre-pitch. Uses a quick stride and hand load into a short, level bat path showing some bat speed. Spray contact to all fields with consistent line-drives during BP. 84 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.67 60-yard dash. In the infield, starts low with good footwork around the ball to field. Sure hands, funneling the ball into his body and making quick, accurate throws from a short high- arm action.

McGinness is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound, left-handed hitting infielder in Missouri’s 2022 class. He ran a 7.60 second 60 and 4.69 home-to-first. During batting practice, McGinness posted an exit velocity of 85 mph, starts in an open stance, quiet load, rhythm with his hands, quick hands, shows feel for the barrel, remains balanced throughout swing, produced hard contact to primarily right field during hitting evaluations. On the infield, shows some athletic actions, fluid footwork, momentum follows throw, clean arm action, three-quarter release, positional velo of 68 mph, mostly accurate throws across the infield.
