5-foot-10, 175lb twitchy, lean frame; 7.11 runner in the 60 yard dash. Wide stance with some bend in the knees, pushes the hands back and uses a moderate leg kick to start the swing. Works an uphill bat path with a hard rotation that creates lift in the swing with shoulder tilt that gets him on plane nicely. In the field, he takes direct routes to the ball and fields out in front with a soft glove that funnels to the chest. Throws from a loose, low 3/4 slot; registered a 76 MPH arm strength across the infield.
On the mound, Dahl works down the slope with good tempo and some drive in the back leg. Plants the foot and blocks firmly allowing the ball to jump out of his hand. Throws from a 3/4 slot with a moderate takeaway out of the glove. Runs the fastball up to 79 MPH while cruising at 78-79 MPH. Displayed good feel for the zone with the ability to hit the corners nicely. Throws a curveball at 66-68 MPH with good depth that proves to be a quality out pitch. Flashes a change up at 73-74 MPH that is a good difference in speed to keep hitters off balance.
