Lean build, simple mechanics and pace to his delivery, belt high knee lift, direction is straight on the powerline. Throws from a high ¾ slot, fastball sits 76-78 mph with depth, CB 64-65 with 12/5 shape, CH runs hard to his arm-side.

WNY All-Star Games (September 24, 2017) Masucci stands a lean 5-foot-10, 165-pounds with more room to develop. Starts with his hands high on his delivery with a high leg lift, long stride. Drives forward with a long deep arm-action, collapses on his back side as he releases the ball from a mid-3/4 slot. Fastball peaks at 77 mph staying down in the zone. Curve ball rides mid 60's with loose shape. Overall arm-strength this off-season is critical for Masucci as he enters his Jr. year this coming spring.

Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)

Masucci checks in at 5-foot-10, 160 pounds. Had a 60 yard dash time of 7.68 seconds. Offensively- LEFT HANDED: Begins with feet at shoulder width and knees bent with a slightly open stance. Hands begin close to back ear with bat laid flat. Uses a small leg kick that lands even as hands load backwards slightly. Barrel is on a direct path with limited extension through contact. Swing plane is flat. Hips are mostly rotational throughout the swing. Low, two handed finish at front shoulder. RIGHT HANDED: Swing is very similar to left side with a few subtle differences. Much better extension through contact from right side. Finish is one handed, but still at front shoulder height. Looks to be natural side. Had an exit velocity of 80 MPH off of the tee. Defensively- Approaches the ball with short, choppy strides. Fields ball with feet fairly narrow and bent at the knees. Fields ball with hands in front of his body. Used a quick shuffle on throws. Did well on getting rid of ball quickly. Would like to see actions smooth over some; low 3/4 arm slot on throws of 76 MPH across the infield. Pitching- Begins with feet together in the middle of the rubber with legs straight. Small side step that allows right foot to pivot onto rubber. Knee lift comes to upper chest height at balance point. Long stride that lands directly in line with home plate. Arm stays in line behind body with a full arm circle. Over the top arm slot that comes through close to ear. Extension is slightly cut off and around front foot. Fastball was mostly straight with some life in zone and was in the 74-76 MPH range. Also threw a changeup with quality arm speed and some fade. Curveball was 62-64 MPH with 12-6 downhill break and depth.
