Trevor is a big physical hitter with a smooth lefty swing. He hits from an athletic base, shoulder width with high hands, Compact and quick load. Exit velocity of 91 off the tee; Short toe tap load to get him into his legs; Quick actions in his swing; athletic and loose in the hitting zone. Advanced barrel speed; shows the ability to hit for power. Defensively- Trevor works well around the bag- excellent footwork on base set up. He shows the athletic quickness to defend his position with range to both glove and back-hand side. Hands work well out in front; throws from a high ¾ slot with a velocity of 73mph across the diamond.
Dutra stands 6-foot-0, 200-pounds, solidly build 1B. At the plate the bat projects for this 2021 graduate. From the left-side, slightly open stance, back load for timing getting barrel upright. Short to the ball, level barrel through the zone, short compact extension, 81 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively solid with size around the bag, fields ball out in front with a release from a high 3/4-slot. Overall, there's a lot to like with the bat from the left-side, projects with power to all fields, especially as he continues to develop his strength and bat-speed. Fun player to watch over the next four years.
