A durable 6-foot, 200-pound frame with strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a wide and balanced set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load and no stride with a heel lift and replant before launching his hands on a flat path with some length to contact and a high finish. In BP, shows a middle of the field and flat approach with occasional lift, bat speed, and barrel strength, almost all barrels, 96 mph exit velo. Defensively, Garrett is well advanced, catching from a wide and flexible base with some sway and blocking with agility, keeping the ball short and in front of him. Receives with quiet and strong hands beating the ball to the spot with little extra movement. Throws down with consistently clean footwork and very quick and clean exchanges before throwing with a short arm stroke through a high- slot with some accuracy at 82 mph for showcase pop times of 1.81-1.93.
