Arm action has moderate length with a clean, controlled, and fluid circle before coming through a ¾ slot. Fastball sits 76-77 with some run to the arm side and cut to the glove side. Slider has 10/4 shape with rolling action at 64-67. In the game, Halvorson filled up the zone and challenged hitters.

Uses a coiling and arm-bar load with a moderate stride before launching his hands on a slightly uphill path through extension.
