Lean, athletic 6-foot, 175-pound frame that projects. Loose hands from the right side, long to contact with a level bat path. Fluid feet on the infield. Slotted inside the top-50 prospects on the Oklahoma 2024 board.
Positional Profile: SS
Body: 6-foot, 175-pounds. Athletic build with that has room for added strength and size in the future.
Hit: RHH. Wide base with an athletic posture. Hands get set deep with a vertical barrel angle. Strong weight stack onto the back leg with strong leg drive into a firm front leg. Hands work quickly through the zone with a level bat path. Maintains balance and athleticism well throughout the swing.
Defense: In the infield attacks the ball with active feet and strong routes working around the ball. Fields the ball slightly deep into the body with some glove action and soft hands. Fields the ball on the move well with clean exchanges. Registered 85 mph across the diamond.
Run: 7.28 runner in the 60.
Dax Noles: SS/RHP, (2024) Norman, OK. 5-foot-9, 150-pound projectable frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 77 mph. Began in a wide stance with a wrapping load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed was average, used flat swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels through his round. Pull side approach. Projectable in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 73 mph; had consistent hands, a clean exchange and developing footwork. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.77 at the event. Fluid on the mound, showed a ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher who uses easy effort. Showed strong balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with a clean finish. Threw his fastball 72-73 mph and topped out at 73 mph; keeps its plane. His curveball (64-65) shows decent command and fading action. He showed a straight changeup (69-71).
