Uses a long stride with excellent leg drive and some strength in his hands. Shows a pull gap, flat approach in BP with some pop. 83 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.77 60. Defensively, shows above average hands, a quick release, some stiffness in the throw, 70 mph. In the game, was 0-for-2.

Uses a rocking load with a long stride before launching his hands on a flat path through extension with advanced bat speed and strength. In BP, shows a middle to pull and flat approach, finding mostly barrels with pop, 91 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.08 second 60. Defensively, shows clean and confident actions with above average hands and feet. Throws from multiple arm strokes and slots according to the play with accuracy at 80 mph across the diamond. Hampton’s size and strength may allow him to project better as an elite third baseman as he continues to develop. In the game, went 1-for-3 with a double off of the left-field wall.
