A developing 5-foot-5, 105-mph lean frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled and deliberate delivery with a short leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is long in the back with a slight pause at the bottom of his arm stroke before coming through a clean and fluid high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 65-68 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with rolling action at 48-54 mph. Changeup sits 55-58 mph.
A 5-foot-5, 105-pounder won’t set foot on a high school campus for over a year, but showed a solid glove hand, along with feel for getting behind the baseball and fielding it out front. 68-mph arm strength and 68-mph exit velocity will certainly improve as he grows and physically matures. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced stance and takes a slow, controlled leg lift. Hands get to good launch point and barrel takes a direct path to the baseball. Simple, repeatable approach. Ran a 7.89 60-yard dash.
