In BP, shows a pull approach with lift, advanced bat speed and strength, found consistent barrels, multiple home runs and a foul ball over the net and onto the softball field, 85 mph exit velo. Runs a 4.28 home-to-first, getting out of the box well. Defensively, shows confident and clean actions with above average hands and deliberate feet. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with some strength, carry, and accuracy. In the game, went 0-for-2 with two walks. On the mound, works from an average tempo delivery with a high leg kick that coils at the top. Arm circle is moderate with fluid action coming through a 3/4 slot with looseness. Fastball normally keeps its plane, but flashes big arm-side run at times, 80-82 mph. Curveball ranged 64-67 mph with 11/5 shape and gradual break. In the game, Hammond challenged hitters with both pitches, tossing a quick inning, giving up no hard contact.
