Landon Clawson (Sallisaw, 2027) is a physical backstop that showed an advanced ability to receive at catcher and potential middle of the order presence. The right handed hitter recorded a 91.2 mph Exit Velocity and the ability to backspin balls through the middle of the field. At 5’11” and 214 pounds, Clawson is already a presence in the box that will continue to develop over the course of his career. Behind the plate, his day was highlighted with skills that give pitchers comfort when working with him. He showed the ability to really receive, specifically on the low pitch, and registered a pop time as low as 2.01. The Sallisaw prospect is a must follow into the spring and as he continues to mature and develop behind the dish.
