Arm action has moderate length with a quick change of direction in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with some quickness. Fastball sits 82-84 mph with some downhill tilt, mostly strikes. Slider shows short and late 11/5 depth at 72-73 mph. Curveball has near 12/6 shape with big break at 65-66 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup has consistent fade at 76-77 mph, some strikes.

Arm action has moderate length in the back, dropping straight down out of the break with a quick change of direction at the bottom of his arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot with some arm strength. Fastball keeps its plane at 83-85 mph and touches 86, developing command. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with some late depth at 63 mph. Changeup has some fade at 76-77 mph. In the game, Turpen faced five batters. He struggled with command at times and induced weak contact on the ground twice.
