Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-foot-9, 175-pounds. Athletic and physical build with room for added strength and size in the future.
Hit: RHH. Starts with a slightly open stance and athletic posture. Rocking load into the lower half with hands getting set quickly into position. Lower half works linearly through the zone into a firm front leg. Level bat path with a rotational path with the hands. Strong top hand finish showing some strength at contact. Maintains balance well throughout the swing.
Defense: Attacks the ball with active feet and routes working around the ball. Fields the ball out in front of the body with developing glove action and a firm glove. Clean transfers out of the glove and showed solid slow roller technique. Registered 75 mph from across the diamond.
Run: 5.40 runner home to first.
Delivery: Short and simple footwork working to an easy pivot foot. Works to a mid height balance point with weight leaning into the back heel. Hands work down around the belt and break from the glove early in the leg kick. Quick pace and tempo to the delivery. High glove front side with slight shoulder tilt. Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a slightly bent plant leg.
Arm: Action: High ¾ arm slot with a longer arm action.
Fastball: 76-80 mph. Very heavy arm side running action at times with some life through the zone.
Curveball: 65-68 mph. Big and loopy shape with developing spin and feel for landing in the zone.
Changeup: 69-73 mph. Very heavy arm side fading action with fastball hand speed.
Spencer Schwandt: 3B/RHP, (2025) Edmond, OK. 5-foot-5, 155-pound slim frame. At the plate, Schwandt had an exit velocity of 73 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a compact load, then uses a quick stride to start his swing. Had short swing plane, average bat speed and high finish. He Barreled up some balls throughout his round. Up the middle approach. Fluid in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 62 mph; shows a clean exchange, consistent feet and sure hands. Used a high ¾ slot with a long arm action. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 9.01. On the mound, showed a long arm action and an over-the-top arm angle with some arm speed. Used some effort in his delivery. Displays uphill shoulders with tall balance point. Lands open with a falling off finish. Changeup (56-57 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 68-69 mph and topped out at 69 mph; shows a straight movement. Throws a 12/6 curveball (53-55) that has gradual action.
