Positional Profile: 1B

Body: 6-foot-3, 230-pounds.  Large and physical build with present strength.

Hit: LHH.  Wide base with good sink into the lower half.  Quiet hands into position with strong weight stack and good balance throughout the swing.  Strong rotational swing with hands working well to the inside part of the ball reaching extension.  Shows some pull side pop and projects to be a power bat in the future.

Defense: In the infield attacks the ball with shorter strides and prefers to let the ball come to him.  Fields with some glove action and soft hands.  Proper footwork around the bag.  Registered 78 mph from across the diamond.

Run: 7.77 runner in the 60.

Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-4, 220-pounds. Large and physical build with strength in the lower half.

Hit: LHH. Starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture with hands getting set at shoulder height and a flat barrel angle. Slow loads the weight into the lower half.  Utilizes a knee knock leg lift stride with lower half working linearly through the zone.  Has some strength at contact.  Very good overall bat speed through the zone.  Keeps head behind the ball well.  Gets good extension with hands working hard to the inside part of the ball.
Power: 92.4 max exit velocity, averaged 87.3 mph. 284’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 74 mph.  Over the top arm slot with a short arm action.
Defense: Attacks the ball with shorter strides and lateral routes.  Fields the ball slightly deep into the body with developing glove action and a firm glove.  Shows good feet and hips on double play turns.
Run: 7.98 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Quick and methodical rocker style footwork around the rubber.  Works to a mid height balance point with short sink into the lower half.  Gets good push off the rubber with stride foot working down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.  Clean hand break from the glove at the top of the delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Over the top arm slot with a short arm action.
FB: T72.7, 69.7-72.5 mph. Mostly straight shape with some sinking action to the bottom of the zone at times. T2044, 1833 average rpm.
CB: 56.3-60.1 mph. Slurvy shape with developing spin and early break. T1903, 1684 average rpm.
CH:  mph. Good downward depth and kills spin efficiently. T1267, 1267 average rpm.

 

Tanner Norman: 1B/RHP, (2024) Choctaw, OK. 6-foot-3, 215-pound sturdy frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. Began in a tall stance with a wrapping load, then used a leg kick to initiate his swing. Bat speed was above average, displayed uphill swing plane and high finish. Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Pull side approach. While in the infield, made throws up to 64 mph; had a clean exchange, sure hands and developing footwork. Decent accuracy to the bag, used a short arm action with an-over-the-top slot. Clocked a time of 8.3 in the 60-yard dash. Raw on the mound, using a long arm action he showed some arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Showed some effort in his delivery. Balance is tall point with even shoulders in his delivery. Shows an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 72-74 mph; pounds the zone and keeps its plane. Has tight action on his 12/6 curveball (59-61).

Tanner Norman: 1B/RHP, (2024) Choctaw, OK. 6-foot-3, 215-pound sturdy frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 81 mph. Begins in an open stance with a quick load, then uses a toe tap to start his swing. Bat speed was above average, displayed upward swing plane and high finish. He found lots of barrels during his round. Gap to gap approach. Average in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 69 mph; shows a natural exchange, firm hands and developing feet. Showed a high ¾ slot and a long arm action. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.8. Average on the mound, used an over-the-top arm angle with a long arm action while showing good arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Displays in line shoulders with tall balance point. Lands square with a falling off finish. Knuckle (63-64 mph).Sat with his fastball at 70-74 mph with a max of 74 mph; showed in the zone control with straight movement. He shows some action on his changeup (64-65). His curveball (63-64) showed gradual action.
