Arm: RH. C - 76 mph. Short low-¾ arm action with accuracy.
Defense: Behind the plate, 1.94-1.97 pop times. Narrow setup, adequate receiver, quick exchanges and footwork.
Run: 7.46 runner in the 60.
Trevor Rowe: C/3B, (2023) Shidler, OK. 5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Rowe had an exit velocity of 85 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a arm bar quick load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is quick, has upward swing plane and level finish. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact . Pull side approach. Behind the plate, produced pop times of 2.04-2.22, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 72 mph; had a developing exchange, firm hands and developing footwork. Had narrow setup. Had a low ¾ slot and a short arm action with some accuracy to the bag. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.49.
Young, 5-foot-10, 140-pound framed catcher hits from the right side of the plate using a slightly open right handed stance, sinks into the back side to load and stride. Hands work below the shoulder and away from the body, creates an arm bar before entering the hitting zone. Long uphill path to the baseball, works pull side with most pitches. Some looseness in the lower half, works quick to the baseball with the front hip wanting to escape early. Showed 79 mph bat-exit velocities. Registered a 7.95 60-yard dash. Side saddle set up, narrow feet and setup behind the plate. Late glove movement with each catch, more strength needed. Recorded pop times ranging from 2.19-2.23 ball travelling at 68 mph from the crouch. Low ¾ arm slot with arm side run across the diamond.
