2025 Holiday Hitters Cambridge Showcase
Uncommitted 2027 Grayson McEntee was the big winner of the event and nearly averaged 90mph exit velocity (89.2mph). Large frame with strength and broad shoulders, standing at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds. The right-handed hitter was on-time throughout his rounds, working primarily up the middle with a short stroke and direct hands. McEntee generated a peak exit velocity of 100.1mph, Hard Hit% of 61% and peak distance of 300ft. No doubt has impact in the bat and the ability to get balls in the air will help elevate his offensive profile. The Fieldhouse Pirate had the top bat speed at the event with an average of 69.1mph (74.2mph max), third best hand speed with an average of 20.9mph (23.0mph max) and second best average on-plane efficiency at 89%. McEntee looks primed for a big time breakout in 2026 and has expressed interest in reclassing to a 2028. The 38th-ranked prospect in Ontario’s 2027 class.

2027 OF/RHP Grayson McEntee put together one of the strongest performances among 2027 prospects at the event and has jumped up to No. 29 in the 2027 rankings. Broad shoulders with a big, athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 195-pounds that helped him post some loud tools across the board. McEntee put together two strong rounds, consistently working to the middle of the cage with the ability to barrel line-drives or lift the ball for some power. Peak exit velocity of 96.7mph (88.5 avg), peak distance of 301ft and Sweet Spot % of 73. He was also up to 85mph from the outfield and ran a 4.24 30-yard dash. McEntee also took a turn on the mound where he sat 78-80mph, along with a curveball and changeup. There’s upside on the mound, as well, but it’s the profile on the positional side that really grabs your attention. Intriguing follow in Ontario’s 2027 class.
