2027 SS/RHP Rohan Persad was a top performing two-way player at the Toronto Fall Invite, starting on the mound where his 84.1mph fastball was the fourth-hardest. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-hander has some intent in the delivery with a clean arm swing from a high-¾ arm slot and was able to locate the fastball with a 67% Strike%. Persad also featured a slider at 69-71mph and sinker at 82-83mph. The Toronto Mets infielder posted the top velocity at the position (87mph) where his actions play and also ran a 4.07 30-yard dash. At the dish, the right-handed hitter was working middle to oppo with a level swing that created plenty of line drives and a Sweet Spot% of 67%. Peak exit velocity of 91.8mph. Persad continues to get better each time we see him and added strength over the next 1.5 years will be key in his development.

Persad is a top prospect in the ‘27 class out of the Terriers system with two-way ability. It is a relaxed approach in the box that swings it well from the right-side. In addition, Rohan provided clean actions on the turf with a strong arm for his class clocking in at 86 mph during defensive workouts. Topped things off by conducting a smooth operation on the mound that exhibited a three a pitch mix. The heater sat in the 78-81 mph range (2040+), and showed strong feel for the breaking stuff. The 5-foot-10, 160-pounder will see those numbers jump up with development and physicality.
Persad continues to stand out with the way he moves on the mound and especially on the mound. Still has growing to come, standing at 5-foot-10, 150-pounds and moves gracefully on the mound with a clean and loose right-handed arm. The fastball sat 76-77mph and does a good job releasing the slider from the same slot at 66-67mph. He also featured a changeup at 74-75mph. On the positional side, Persad generated a peak exit velocity of 80.4mph and distance of 286ft, along with a 7.78 60-yard dash and 81mph arm across the diamond. The work on the mound looks more advanced right now and will be fun to watch him continue developing these next three years.
