‘27 INF Jalen Jacob continues to standout as the top player in Ontario’s 2027 class with the ability to impact the ball from the left-side with power to the pullside. Size and strength for his age at 6-foot-1, 240-pounds and was consistently making loud contact with a 75% Hard-Hit%, along with the top exit velocity at the event with a 99.6mph max and 92.3mph average. Last week Jacob put up a 104.3mph EV at the OBJ Scout Day but he bested his distance this time around with a max of 357ft. Jacob is one of the premiere prospects in Canada’s 2027 class and is a must-follow this summer for Division I college coaches.

Jacob was one of the top hitters on the Canadian team as he put on a clinic during BP on workout day and carried that into gameplay, picking up three hits in as many games. Physically advanced for his age with sheer size from the left-side, generating a peak exit velocity of 99.2mph (89.3 avg) and distance of 380 feet. Continues to put together quality AB’s against high-level arms, while showing a mature approach and utilizing the entire field to collect hits. Bat speed and strength allow him to generate high exit velocities in-game (102mph). Defensively, Jacob handles third with no issues but has shown the ability to operate first base at a high-level, as well. Jacob has blossomed into quite the prospect as his maturity and ability to read the game have developed alongside his tools.

‘27 1B/RHP Jalen Jacob was one of the top performing underclassmen in the tournament and will be a name in Ontario’s 2027 class you should hear plenty of going forward. Big and strong left-handed hitter who swings with intent and consistently looks to do damage. Went just 2-for-9 but made plenty of hard contact and both hits went for extra-bases. Played the tournament as an underage player and wasn’t out of place physically or talent wise.

The biggest attraction in Canada’s 2027 class and his offensive profile has really taken a leap since we saw him at the 15U Ray Carter last August. As physical as they come at 6-foot-1, 240-pounds from the left-side with true impact already, generating 100+ mph exit velocities and the ball jumps off his bat with ease. Controlled all of his ABs on the day without much chase and had an RBI single up the middle, along with a pair of flyouts. Jacob is the top-ranked 2027 in Canada and will be the lone underclassmen on Canada’s Future Games roster.
