Another big-time standout at the event from the 2027 class, Greaves continues to flash true two-way potential 100mph exit velocities and FB up to 87.4mph from the left-side. Larger frame at 6-foot-2, 190-pounds and the right-handed hitter has the ability to impact the ball, generating a peak exit velocity of 99.9mph (89.2mph), peak distance of 313ft and Hard-Hit% of 65%. The Ontario Yankees two-way also ran a 4.09 30-yard dash and was up to 87mph on the infield. Plenty of potential on the mound as a left-hander, as well, where his fastball sits 85-87mph, along with a breaking ball at 76mph (2300+), changeup at 81mph (1.7” IVB/-16.5” HM) and cutter at 80-82mph (2470+). Overall, Greaves is one of the more interesting prospects in Ontario’s 2027 class and should make a big impact on both sides of the ball this summer for the Yankees.

Greaves was one of several 2027 from the Ontario Yankees program our staff was eager to get eyes on and he didn’t disappoint. Lean, athletic look in the right-side of the box at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds and there’s power potential as he continues to mature. Swing gets started with a big leg-kick and it’s a relatively flat path with direct hands to the ball. Greaves generated a peak exit velocity of 98.9mph (85.7 avg) with a peak distance of 335ft and Sweet Spot % of 68. Greaves also shows potential on the mound as a left-hander and it’s easy to see why he was one of the biggest risers in our recently updated 2027 rankings (up to No. 12).

Greaves is a two-way talent in the program with plenty to dream on at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds and there looks to be true two-way potential at the moment. Greaves immediately caught our attention on the mound with the size, left-handedness and his effortless movement/velocity. The fastball sat 81-83mph (T83.9) along with a curveball, cutter and changeup. There’s plenty of upside with the bat, as well, as the right-handed hitter put together two of the better rounds on the day with plenty of barrels and 35% of his swings at 90+mph. Greaves generated a peak exit velocity of 94.1mph (83.9 avg), distance of 302ft and Sweet Spot % of 85. Another highly intriguing 2027 prospect in the Yankees program.
