Pinch is one of bright spots in the ‘27 class. The two-way started the day with displaying the hit tool. Starts tall in the box with good rhythm into the load. Displayed ability to get on plane with good length after contact. Maddox went on to generate a maximum exit velocity of 90.5 mph and a peak distance of 253 feet. He can also get it done on the mound. Gets downhill well, loose/easy arm, that ran the heater up to 79.1 mph. Pinch should continue to trend upwards in the coming years as he adds strength to the frame.

Pinch put together a strong overall workout but immediately caught our attention on the mound with clean mechanics and one of the better breaking balls at the event. 5-foot-8, 140-pound right-handed pitcher with a fastball that sits 74-75mph from an easy, repeatable delivery. Also features a curveball at 68-69mph and changeup at 69mph. Pinch was also a top performer during BP as he posted the top average exit velocity (77.3mph) with a peak velocity of 84.6mph.
