Taylor has made large strides since we last saw him, adding significant strength and size. His peak exit velocity jumped to 93.2 mph, a ten-mile-per-hour increase from last fall’s Bearcats Scout Day. At 5-foot-11, 175-pounds, there’s twitch and bat speed to work with moving forward as the swing continues to clean up. The glove continues to develop as strength and athleticism gains factor in. With continued mechanical refinement, Atkinson has the potential to become an impact bat moving forward, and is a name to keep an eye on as he develops further.
