Physical: Twitchy, athletic 5-foot-10, 149-pound frame. 7.62 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Even, textbook stance, as the hands start at a 45 around the ear. Utilized a controlled leg-kick stride to initiate his swing through a flat, whippy path into the hitting zone. Worked behind the ball with advanced feel for the barrel, up to a 78% sweet spot rate. Peppered line-drives to either gap and recorded a T87MPH EV (83 AVG). More to come.
Defensively: After going 88MPH positionally from a H ¾ slot with + arm-speed, Guzzie threw out a runner in the 1st playoff game vs. Team Texas. Bottom of the 6th, 1 down, and launched a seed to the plate for an assist to finish the inning.
Pitching: LHP. The southpaw operated as the closer and dominated multiple times with 82-83MPH FB’s and a banger low-70’s SL at 2300 rpms (H ¾). Knows how to pitch from a balanced delivery; stretch-only. Among the top arms for class in the state.
Physical: 5-10, 145 pounds; Athletic, lean build. 7.77 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a direct swing path with a a finish around the back. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 82 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while showing choppy feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 84 MPH. Showed a clean arm swing with plenty of carry on throws.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; high 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 77-80 MPH; life through the zone. CB: 67 MPH; late action. SL: 67-69 MPH; short action. CH: 72-74 MPH; maintains same plain. OTHER: Smooth movements down the mound, more velo to come in the near future.
Physical: Young, highly athletic 5-foot-10, 145-pound frame. 4.37 runner in the 30YD.
Offensively: LHH. Open, balanced stance with loose hands to begin. Utilized a short leg-lift stride to initiate his swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Real feel to hold the hinge and create giddy-up instantly. Delivered a T77MPH EV with a 64% fly ball rate via Trackman.
Defensively: The outfielder flashed choppy, aggressive footwork and played downhill often. Some pocket awareness on a good exchange and reached back for an 84MPH throwing arm.
Pitching: LHP. Worked from the stretch-only. Big stack position with acceleration down the mound. Flexible upper-half allowed for some good life to stuff. 79-81MPH FB with carry/quality low-70’s SL/hard-fading 71-73 CH mix.
