PA Class of 2027 (Summer Edition)

As the summer concludes and players roam the hallways of their high schools, it’s the perfect time to release our end-of-summer installment of the rankings. The 2027 class continues to prove that they are one of the deepest classes in recent history. With 19 players ranked nationally, Pennsylvania boasts some of the best talent this has to offer.
Filled with big arms, power bats, and freak athletes from top to bottom, this rankings class has it all. Some players delivered big-time performances on the biggest stages, while others continued their red-hot high school seasons straight through the summer schedule.
We break down each Top 10 player below, along with the full list of 200 prospects.

Graham Keen 3B / OF / Mt Lebanon, PA / 2027As one of the top two-way talents in the country, Keen posses one of the biggest upsides in the class. The catalyst of any team he can impact the game at any given moment. A live arm that still has projection and present power at the plate puts him in rare company.

Leo Nockley SS / Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School, PA / 2027One of the best pure hitters in the class continues to turn heads at every stop. Lives on the barrel, mature approach at the plate and a solid defender, he checks off all the boxes to be in conversations of being the top SS in the country.

Brady Guzzie OF / LHP / Conwell Egan Catholic, PA / 2027The Keystone State's top left handed pitcher is the definition of smooth, polished mechanics. At 6 '2 and 177 pounds, Guzzie has added noticebale size to his frame with still more room to add on. His fastball touches 90 mph with three offspeed pitches that are all above average with high level command.

Jackson Young OF / RHP / Westtown, PA / 2027Possesses a head turning frame at 6 '4 and 180 pounds, oozes upside and projectability. Young is projectable yet has present day athleticism with a 6.55 sixty yard dash and arm strength of 89 mph. Has a chance to develop into one of the classes premiere left handed bats in the country.

Chris Grasso RHP / 3B / Saint Joseph’s Prep, PA / 2027The Eastern PA native possesses high-level command of his three pitch arsenal. On top of his command, Grasso's fastball sits low 90s and pairs it with a slider that he spins up to 2,880 rpm. He maintains poised and level headed while on the mound throughout the game and is an ultimate competitor. The 6 '4 and 190 pound right hander is only scratching the surface of his potential.

Cole Kuhn RHP / 1B / St. Joseph's preparatory School, PA / 2027One of the most dynamic arms in the class. Kuhn's unique arm slot certainly seperates himself amung others. Mid 90s fastball that seems to disappear under hitters bats. With still some maturing in his frame and sequencing going down the mound, Kuhn is far from his ceiling!

Will Swisher SS / 2B / Moon Area High School, PA / 2027One of the best left handed swings you will find in the state. An all around athlete that has defensive versatility and a high baseball IQ. Commands the zone well when at the plate with elite barrel awareness, able to grind out at bats and take advantage of mistakes over the plate.

Jacob Carrasco C / 3B / Manheim Township, PA / 2027A swiss army knife that stands out wherever he plays, whether that is catcher, third base, or outfield. Strong frame with a mature prescence at the plate and an approach that stands out amung the class, Carrasco contiues to seperate himself from his counterparts.

Jon Saunders RHP / 1B / Gateway, PA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 3
Saunders burst onto the scene this past winter at our Preseason ID. Since then Saunders has been at the center of every conversation of premier arms. XL frame with a fast arm that repeats is a good recipe to have success. With more velocity on the way, Saunders has the chance to turn into the next power arm on the western part of the state.

Jalen Bowman OF / RHP / Malvern Prep, PA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 3
Bowman certainly made a splash at the future games after running an event leading 6.28. A dymanic athlete that impresses each time we see him. Top of the order bat that plays a high level OF. One of the top risers in this recent rankings release!
