11/2/13 Luberti showcased pop times of 2.12-2.25 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. He displayed solid catch and transfer skills, but will need to continue to work to improve arm strength. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitter hits from a square stance and showcased the ability to barrel the baseball often during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph.
7/30/13 Luberti hits from a slightly open stance and strides to closed with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect showcased pop times of 2.18-2.28 on throws of 69 mph out of the crouch. Luberti also showed athletic actions in the outfield and the potential to play more than one defensive position at the next level.
2/23/13 Luberti is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect who showed well. Behind the plate Luberti showcased throw of 79 mph out of the crouch and pop times of 2.09-2.14. With continued work, he demonstrated the arm strength to be a sub-2.0 catcher. Offensively he used a 75 mph bat exit velocity to square most pitches and used all fields. Luberti will be an interesting follow as he continues to fill out and develops physically.
1/13/13 Luberti showcased potential defensively with pop times of 2.22-2.28 on throws of 73 mph out of the crouch. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound prospect ran a 7.68 60-yard dash and showed a 66 mph bat exit velocity. Luberti used a strong lower half and a short stroke at the plate to consistently square the baseball. The right-handed hitter displayed some pop in his bat and the ability to drive the baseball to all fields.
