6/18/14 Mock sat 84-86 while touching 87 mph early in three innings of work. The 6-foot, 170-pound two-way prospect also commanded a 68 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 65 mph knuckle ball with sharp down break. Mock struck out seven while working around some command issues. Mock went on to run a 7.08 and flashed a 90 mph bat exit velocity while going 2-for-6 at the plate in game action.
4/11/14 Mock was the best pitching prospect on the day sitting comfortably 82-83 for seven innings and reaching back to get 84-85 whenever he needed it, including in the later innings. Mock's FB is relatively flat out of the windup from a high 3/4 arm slot but shows some arm side run from the stretch. His 70 mph curveball has two plane action and tight rotation. He effectively mixed two pitches in a complete game shutout.
