Furman displayed a bat exit velocity of 80 mph from the tee.

7/30/13 Furman is a solidly built 5-foot-8, 150-pound prospect with fundamentally sound actions behind the plate. He showcased pop times of 2.25-2.28 on throws of 69 mph out of the crouch. Furman has a very compact swing, hitting from a square stance with a toe tap trigger. He displayed the ability to consistently barrel the baseball with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Furman went 1-for-6 in game action over two days and squared the baseball regularly.
