The incoming freshman continues to hammer baseballs in each look as more of the same would continue across the 14u National Championship. Showing off the two-strike juice, Elrod got a pitch he could handle and deposited it over the RCF for a two-run home-run ( 93 EV/ 354 Ft.). Bearing an obvious physicality in the box at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, Elrod stays simple and delivers a heavy barrel with great leverage through the zone as he generates a ton of strength from the ground-up. Elrod possesses some of the best in-game raw power in the class with a chance for a significant power ceiling in the future.

Body: 6-3, 225-pounds.
Hit: LHH. Upright balanced stance, short toe tap Short level path to the ball, ability to lift the ball to all fields.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 81.5 mph. 322' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-72 mph. INF-79 mph. H 3/4 release with good extension.
Defense: 2.26-2.39 pop times. Smooth feel behind the plate. Athletic footwork at 1B.
ATH: 8.35 runner in the 60. 1.87 in the 10 yard split.

Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 5-11, 205-pounds. Present thickness, especially in the lower half. Slower twitched body currently, that will need to add muscle.
Hit: RHH. Medium crouched stance with good balance to initally start his swing. Back leg load with a light leg lift to plant. Doesn't fully finish swing at times with cutting off extension of the hips and follow-through. Slight uppercut with backside approach. Lacks some current hip fire to pullside. 54.5 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 64 max exit velocity, averaged 51.1 mph. 175' max distance.
Arm: LH. C-61 mph. INF-64 mph. Short arm action with quick high elbow to release. Throws off a shuffle step while lacking arm speed, which should come as he progresses.
Defense: 2.65-2.85 pop times. Good wide base on intial move. At times lacks fluid movements in his hips and can pop up to move horizontally rather than staying low and moving with the baseball. Clean glove when recieving in imediate direction with quick transfer of the ball to glove to release.
