Its not often you see one arm up to 99 mph, let alone two arms up to 99 mph and its not even March yet. Phillips has had the baseball world buzzing about him this spring and his outing against Cornerstone Christian did not disappoint. The athletic, strong, explosive right hander came out of the gates 96-99 mph in the first inning and sat 94-96 mph from the second through the fourth inning. The Razorback commit also showed great feel for the breaking ball in the zone as he got deeper into the game. Showing more power curveball shape, the breaker came in at 79-83 mph with quality spin that will continue to evolve as he continues to develop the pitch. Look for Phillips to continue to make strides as one of, if not the premier prep right handed arm this coming draft.
