TEXAS - As the 2nd round of the playoffs starts, we were treated to a matchup between Boerne and Sinton, two of the top teams in the state, not just for 4A schools. The setting for the south Texas showdown was second to none with an amped up crowd and energy flowing through both dugouts. The game started off with both starting pitchers a little amped up on the mound but both settled in to give their teams a great chance to win. Boerne walked away with a hard fought victory but the rest of the series will be as well played as it was tonight. At the end of the day, it was a fundamentally sound game between two talented clubs. It was tight from beginning to end; an absolute treat to enjoy a game of that quality in the second round of the Texas High School Postseason.
