Connor Jennings, Flower Mound (TX), 2027 Positional Profile: 1B/OF LHH/1B good build/frame to add strength in future. Moves well, chance he can develop into plus run, certainly fringe plus. Solid defensive player at 1st, moves well at 1st. Solid bat/power combo in future with upside. Opportunities to increase contact consistency and ability to impact baseball in future. Solid player developing. Body: 6-2, 201-pounds. Good build/frame. Tall, with width to shoulders and back. Build currently shows some strength. Will keep adding to it with future maturity. Good physical projections. Hit: LHH. Slightly open stance to start, lands with short stride in good position to hit. Rotational back foot, work to drive back foot into ball of foot, increasing ability to drive hip forward into firm front side. Rolls onto side of stride foot. Keep foot into ground, hit from ground up, rolling onto side hinders lower 1/2. Big left shoulder tilt at point of contact, would like to see tilt softened some, allowing for ability to get on plane. Big shoulder tilt is helpful on balls down, not on elevated stuff. Barrel starts vertical with minor tilt, creates scoop path. Would like to see barrel with little more angle behind head for launch point. Think knob as flashlite, swing is most efficient when light in some direction towards catcher in squat position. Scoop swing with shoulder tilt creates difficulty to get on plane for line drive contact. 67.6 mph bat speed with 12 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 100 max exit velocity, averaged 92.7 mph. 370' max distance. Project solid bat/power combo with big upside. Opportunities with hit approach and swing adjustments to increase contact consistency and ability to impact baseball. Sound base to develop from. Arm: LH. INF-77 mph. Arm works, fringe avg raw HS arm strength now. Recommend long toss program to increase raw arm speed and arm strength. Defense: Feet work well both coming of bag and when playing deep. Works feet to play thru baseball. Fields baseball deep, work to field ball out front. ATH: 7.10 runner in the 60. 1.89 and 4.07 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Nice, smooth actions. Runs with good form creates above avg speed. Really nice runner. 23.50 max vertical.

Connor Jennings, a left-handed hitting sophomore for Flower Mound, had a strong weekend, batting in the 4-hole and consistently delivering big hits. He has a short, efficient swing with minimal wasted motion, allowing him to square the ball up frequently. While his approach is still green and in need of some refinement, the tools are there. Jennings is showing the ability to handle quality pitching, and with more experience, he could make a significant jump in his development.
