Janac pitched sparingly as a Rice freshman last spring, appearing in seven games out of the Owls' bullpen before transferring to San Jac ahead of the 2022 campaign. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder is athletic with big-time arm speed that helps him generate a 92-94 mph fastball with late life. Janac's power slider at 86-88 features sharp, late break and tunnels nicely off his heater, in turn giving the right-hander some natural deception with his two primary offerings. Janac completes his arsenal with a downer curveball at 79-82 and a developing changeup.
College coaches will want to follow 2020 RHP Dillon Janac (College Station HS) closely. He has a long-limbed, projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 170-pounds. The right-hander works from a high slot with a quick, loose arm stroke and an athletic delivery. His fastball sat mostly 83-84 mph, topping out at 86, and dropping to 82 in his second inning of work. Janac has a sharp curveball at 72 mph with good downward tilt. Also shows feel for a changeup at 78 mph.

Janac has a long-limbed, projectable pitcher’s frame with a high ceiling at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds. Working from a high-¾ slot with a clean arm stroke, he creates steep angle on his fastball at 88-89 mph, and threw a hammer curveball that dropped off the table at 80-81 mph. High ceiling, athletic delivery, can see him making another jump in velocity during the spring high school season.
