Kansala continues to separate himself as one of the top bats in Texas’ 2028 class. A long-levered 6’2”, 186-pound frame with strength already showing, he brought real juice to the Top Prospect Games. He posted a 97.0 mph max EV and averaged 91.6 mph — standout numbers for his age — and drove balls up to 361 feet with consistent lift.
The swing works with natural loft, and the 64% hard-hit rate shows how often he finds the barrel with authority. His path stays in the zone, producing a 50% sweet spot rate and a swing that projects well for extra-base damage. There’s a quiet confidence when he steps in — calm load, efficient movements, and he gets off his “A” swing often.
Defensively, he profiles at a corner spot, but the bat is the calling card — and it’s a loud one. With his present strength and offensive foundation, Kansala has the look of a middle-of-the-order producer down the road. Big upside in the box.

Rolls to side of front foot, stay connected to the ground. Starts in a solid launch postion with barrel/hands. Quick hands with good rotation in lower half. Nice swing path, direct, quick. Ability to impact baseball with some quick bat speed. 68.7 mph bat speed with 21 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 91.6 mph. 361' max distance. Solid bat/power combo. Nice swing with ability to drive put the ball on a line. Can drive balls to left center gap, hit approach is solid, can work big part of the field.

Body: 6-2, 186-pounds. Good build/frame to add strength in future. Strength coming, chance to develop in really good build in future.
Hit: RHH. Lands in good position to hit after stride. Rotational back foot, good using lower 1/2 in swing. Firm front side, lays back body at contact, would like to see more upright while hitting into firm front side. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Takes good path to zone with barrel, swing works. Uphill path with swing created by body laying back, will show more consistent line drive contact with firming of posture at contact. 68.5 mph bat speed with 18 G's of rotational acceleration.

Niko Kansala, Lake Creek (TX), 2028
Positional Profile: 1B/3B RHH/INF…will add needed strength in future. Solid defender in future, arm strength will continue to develop. Upside to bat/power combo with adjustments, definite opportunities for adjustments present maximizing future bat/power combo.
Body: 6-1, 188-pounds. Good build/frame to add needed strength in future. Projects to have good build.
Hit: RHH. Lands in good position to hit after stride. Rotational back foot, spins. Learn to drive lower 1/2 forward with rotation, get to ball of foot with turn aggressively driving hip forward. Recommend trying to develop some linear movement forward with back foot. Lacks upright posture hitting presently, this will be helped by driving back side forward into firm front side. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Dumps barrel around creating length to swing. Work to take hands/barrel with more direct path to hit zone. Firming posture with hit mechanics will help swing also. 66.6 mph bat speed with 14 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 85 max exit velocity, averaged 72.9 mph. 319' max distance. Solid bat/power combo with adjustments in future. Opportunities present for changes, hasn't scratched the surface with what he can do with bat yet due to current approach. Nice upside.
Arm: RH. INF-73 mph. Arm works fine, lacks arm speed presently. Needs long toss program to develop arm speed and raw arm strength.
Defense: Feet work fielding along with hands, moves fine to baseball. Solid defender in future.
ATH: 7.57 runner in the 60. 1.82 and 4.21 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Moves well. Runs hard, will improve some with added strength.
