Lean, wiry build with an athletic frame. Balanced set-up in the box. Lower half starts closed off to pitcher. High hand placement above rear shoulder. Low leg lift to gather weight on back-side before making forward move. Upper half stays loaded into landing with slight bat wiggle for rhythm/timing. Stays balanced into contact. Short path to the ball with extension as he finishes. Stays tall in lower half to create extra leverage against a strong front side. Gap to gap type power. Defensively, shows balanced & controlled actions throughout. Light, active footwork. Flashes athleticism when moving laterally to the ball. Funnels ball in out front while keeping momentum working thru the play. Exchanges at waist & gets right into throwing motion. Short, tight arm path with high 3/4 release. Handles double play feeds well. Speed should help him stick in middle of the diamond long-term.
