Rhea has proportional strength throughout his 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. He originally stood out in Spring 2019 as a sophomore on a senior heavy squad. At the time, he showed advanced receiving skills, handling multiple college arms, and he maintained a mature approach in his at-bats. Since then, his physicality has improved and all of his measurables have taken a substantial jump. At the Washington Uncommitted Senior Showcase in September, Rhea posted improved numbers across the board. Most notably, his arm strength from behind the plate is up to 81, which led to pop times in the 1.88-2.0 range. He has a quick exchange with compact actions and an aggressive, balanced finish at release. At the plate, his max exit velocity was 97 in BP and his bat speed peaked at 73.2. With his short levers, the swing stays quick and direct to the ball with a high two-handed finish after contact.
