Body: 6’2, 180 with length. High-waisted and projectable.
Hit: Classic lefty swing. Tall stance with slight bend in lower half. Controlled load with low leg lift. Gathers weight on backside into forward move. Hands stay below rear shoulder with minimal stretch into landing. Accelerates barrel easily with an uphill path. Easy bat speed and consistent loft. Strong front side with extension after contact.
Power: Showed a big jump in EV going from 89.9 in Feb to 95.2 in June. Power plays best to pull-side. More line drive contact up the middle. Chance to add more power as frame fills out.
Arm: Short arm path, stays bent throughout. High ¾ release most of the time with ability to adjust. Showed feel for lowering slot when making plays at SS. From the OF, stays on top of the ball well and pulls down with conviction
Defense: Has the size/athleticism to handle OF and float around the INF. Where he lands will likely depend on how big/strong the frame becomes. Consistent footwork on the diamond with controlled actions. Stays balanced and doesn’t get rushed making plays. In the OF, strides add more length and he covers ground a bit easier when ranging to the ball.
Run: 7.05 runner. Long strides work easier once he gets underway.
