Fisher has filled out his 6-foot-4, 195 pound frame a bit from when we saw him back in February. The stance is virtually identical as our last look, with the only adjustment being a bit more bend in his lower half and a wider hitting base. Giving him some additional adjustability and athleticism in the box. Puts an easy forward move on the ball with limited movement, which helps him keep everything quiet before initiating his swing. Rotates easily and has some controlled violence in his barrel. The size, bat speed and swing plane should make him a consistent power threat. Defensively, profiles well at 1B with his length and footwork. Starts in a wide, balanced set-up with low hips in his pre-pitch routine. Short, choppy footwork around the bag when working to the ball. Looked comfortable adjusting his throws when needed. Long arm path with a ¾ release point.
Tall framed with length in his frame at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds. Projectable build. Upright, tall stance in the box with slightly open lower half. Stays tall into subtle ‘knee knock’ load. Hands sync up with forward move as they stretch back to rear shoulder. Possesses the prototypical smooth, lefty stroke with easy, fluid bat speed. Combination of barrel path and long levers in his lower half help him lift the ball consistently. Gets full hip rotation thru contact. Big target with large catch radius at 1B. Stays low on the ball by establishing a wide base and dropping hips as he funnels in. Glove hand gets ball out in front. Feet move well around the bag and he shows plenty of coordination to handle all the necessary plays. Full arm path with high ¾ release. Pitches with a clean, repeatable delivery on the mound. Side steps into high leg lift. Keeps weight gathered over backside. Lead leg works down then out as he breaks hands before taking short forward stride. Keeps length in lower half throughout, staying tall at landing with a level shoulder plane. Slight pause in arm action then a clean, loose finish thru high, over the top release.
