6-foot-3, 175 pounds with a high waisted frame and projectable build. Offensively, sets up with feet set just outside shoulder with and slight bend in lower half. Front foot slightly open to the pitcher. Uses a subtle weight shift as he gets into a controlled forward stride. Hands stay even with rear shoulder with a small push back load to create separation. Controlled intent with swing. Barrel shows classic left handed loft with a high finish. More power to come as he adds strength. Stays tall in lower half to create added leverage. Head stays down thru contact. Defensively, showed some mobility behind the plate and looked comfortable receiving from a one-knee set up. Kept flexion in glove-side arm while receiving. Adjusted to both knees up with a slightly staggered crouch when throwing down to 2nd. Simple, repeatable footwork to get alignment towards target. Chest high exchange with a tight, bent arm action. High, over the top release that produced true ball flight to the bag. Solid overall profile as a left-handed hitting catcher.
