5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed pitcher; stout build with strength in lower half. Mrozek clearly has some innate arm strength and a quick arm, high ¾ window, and he’s just beginning to harness it right now. Sat in between 78-82 mph, up to 83, with an inconsistent curveball that got sharper as he settled in.
Positional Profile: SS
Body: 5-foot-11, 180-pounds. Large frame for age with wide shoulders, strength; good projection.
Hit: RHH. Balanced/athletic setup, hands set high. Smooth weight-shift load back, long stride, toe-open landing. Fast bat on a level plane, extension through contact.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity from the tee. Advanced bat strength for age, ball jumps from the barrel.
Arm: RH. INF - 81 mph. Long and loose arm action from a high 3/4 slot; throws carry to first.
Defense: A tendency to stay tall in gather, controlled and clean exchanges.
Run: 7.68 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: RHP
Delivery: Side step rock into knee lift, drops and drives, leg swings out to closed landing, high front side; smooth and fluid rhythm.
Arm Action: RH. Quick and loose arm from a high 3/4 window, bordering on overhand. Arm action is advanced; fast and clean. Arm slot is more consistently high 3/4 while in the stretch.
FB: T84, 82-84 mph. Mostly straight; hard and downhill. Occasional run, some late action.
CB: 65-69 mph. Feel to spin, especially for age. 11/5 shape, sharp break, depth with an ability to locate. Maintains arm speed.
CH: 73-76 mph. Thrown with conviction, aggressive. Lowers slot, generates some arm-side run.
