Delivery: Upright start, simple side step to hip turn, athletic balance point. Strides down mound on line, good separation, momentum pulls him to first base side.
Arm Action: Long draw, long arm circle, high ¾ release.
FB: T83, 80-82 mph. Mostly straight four-seam type; above-average carry through the zone.
CB: 71-73 mph. Gradual 11/5 shape, keeps arm speed; raw spin feel.

Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, quick arm speed with easy/natural arm strength; high 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 79-83 mph. Flashes some carry through the zone; arm-side run, some hard action.
CB: 72-74 mph. Gradual, minimal 11/5 action.
CH: 75-79 mph. Aggressive, thrown at arm speed; straight, occasional arm-side action.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, short stride, hands sink back into load. Path works uphill around the baseball, pull side approach.
Power: 89 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. OF - 84 mph. High 3/4 slot, occasional accuracy.
Defense: Corner outfield profile, deliberate actions working towards the baseball.

Was virtually unhittable allowing only 2 hits and 2 walks. Vertz works out of a high ¾ arm slot and flashed some arm whip. He sat 79-80 throughout the entirety of the game with his fastball and touched 82 in the third inning. He also showed a slider that had 11/5 movement at 72-74 and a changeup that dropped out of the zone at 69-71. The 6-foot-1, 215lb righty finished the game with 7 Ks.
