Against a fierce STiKS Black lineup over the weekend, Hartlaub dodged barrels all game with a two-pitch mix of fastball and sweeping slider. Fastball sat 84-86 mph for much of the hard-working outing, touching 87-88 a couple of times each. Slider featured a lot of horizontal movement, some sharp, and it was his ability to backdoor it for strikes to lefties or get a righty to chase it away that made it an outpitch for him. He also offers some two-way upside as a natural, savvy shortstop with easy actions. Loose, simple right-handed bat that’s produced some loud contact for us in the past. A high-follow ‘21 prospect who remains uncommitted.

Power: 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. 
Arm: RH. INF - 82 mph. Short, loose arm action, high 3/4 slot. 
Defense: Steady hands, fluid footwork, confident on the move to his glove side, clean exchange to quick release, natural instincts in the field. 
Run: 7.17 runner in the 60. Quick feet, covers ground. 

Delivery: Feet start close together and staggered on the first base side of rubber, tall/fall type delivery, athletic leg kick, tall balance point, strong front side, works in line with target, throws with easy effort, smooth rhythm throughout. 
Arm Action: RH. Short, loose arm action, high 3/4 slot. 
FB: T87, 83-85 mph. Plays straight, strikes. 
SL: 74-75 mph. 10/4 shape, tight break, depth.

High-ceiling frame, 6-foot-2, 160-pound two-way player, long, thin, and lean. Showed actions on the infield, rangy defender. Right-handed hitter, bats in the middle of PTA’s lineup, line-drive type who tallied five hits in the team’s four games last week. On the mound, fastball played 81-83 mph in the first, occasional arm side run. Curveball worked 68-72 mph, 11/5 shape.

3/11/18 - 6-foot, 150-pound lean lanky build, long limbs project. Right-handed hitter, tall open stance, slight arm bar load. Loose hands create bat speed, slight uphill path, in rhythm hitter, 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively hands work softly and play out in front working through the baseball, fluid footwork, shows body control on non routine plays. Arm action is athletic and can work from multiple slots, short release, accurate across, 80 mph with carry. 7.42 runner in the 60.

3/29/15 - 5-foot-1, 95 pound middle infielder, young frame. Offensively hits from the right side, balanced stance, short toe tap stride. Short, compact swing, showed good timing in the box for his age. 61 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm played at 57 mph across the diamond, solid defender for his age. 4.97 runner down the line.
