Positional Profile: OF
Body: 5-foot-9, 155-pounds. Small lean athlete.
Hit: LHH. Sets up in a wide and balanced stance, toe tap stride, raises hands into load. Swing path is long, barrel travels on a level plane to the baseball. Line drive hitter with a good approach at the plate. Swing has fluid rhythm throughout.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: LH. OF - 87 mph. Long and loose arm action from a high 3/4 slot. Throws have carry from the outfielder.
Defense: Showed natural actions. Soft hands, fluid feet. Plays through the ball, athleticism shows in the field.
Run: 7.09 runner in the 60.
5-foot-9, 155-pound left handed hitting outfielder. Started all four games in center field and hit in the two- or three-hole in each game. Finished the tournament 5-for-12 at the plate with a double, an RBI, and a handful of loud outs. Sets up in a balanced stance, toe tap stride, quick hands and a short bat path that translate to consistent hard contact. Sprewer showed excellent range in the outfield all weekend, tracking down fly balls in each of the gaps. Sprewer made a diving catch on a ball that was without a doubt a three-bagger, and topped off the play by making a strong throw to double off the runner at first.
10/28/18 - 5-foot-8, 148-pound left/left outfielder, athletic shape. Hits out of balanced stance, short stride, compact simple approach. Quick hands, path is short, stays on top of the baseball, line drive contact out of above average bat speed. 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. Arm action is loose, high ¾ slot, 82 mph from the outfield. Actions works through the baseball in rhythm. 7.69 runner in the 60.
8/20/18 - 5-foot-8, 148-pound left/left outfielder, athletic build. Hits from a wide setup, balanced stance, short stride. Loose hands work on level path, line drive contact, hits in rhythm. 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Above average actions in the outfield, plays loose and crowhops through the baseball, soft hands, quick feet and exchange. 7.46 runner in the 60. Arm showed carry, loose and high ¾ slot, 85 mph from the outfield.
