INF Seth Koci (Indian Trail, 2024) is an athletic uncommitted prospect to know inside of Wisconsin’s senior class. Built at a strong 5-foot-11, 185-pounds, Koci was all over the barrel throughout the entirety of the weekend, highlighted by a pair of two-hit performances. At the plate, Koci swings a quick and direct right-handed bat that has continued to add more power with each look we get at him. Defensively, Koci, who manned second base for a majority of the weekend, held it down, playing with athleticism and also showed sure-handed actions.
Positional Profile: 2B/OF
Body: 5-11, 185-pounds. Strong, well-proportioned frame with a thick lower half.
Hit: RHH. Slightly closed set up, upright and relaxed, fluid load, loose, rhythmic and controlled. Quick hands, short and direct to the baseball, feel for the barrel to all fields. 70.6 mph bat speed with 14 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 88 mph. 352’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 86 mph. 3/4 slot, repeats, accurate.
Defense: Clean actions, shuffle step footwork.
Run: 6.88 runner in the 60.
Koci certainly caught the attention of our Wisconsin staff. Koci had one of the best workouts of the day among the position player group. Koci is listed at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds with some room left to fill and add strength. His 6.91 second 60 yard dash was in the top 10 for the event. Koci’s defensive toolset is definitely something that opened eyes at the event. He is a smooth and athletic mover to the ball with soft hands and very clean transfers from glove to hand. Koci showcased an accurate arm and threw the ball 84 mph across the infield indicating that he has enough arm to stick at SS in the future.
Positional Profile: 2B/OF
Body: 5-11, 185-pounds. Strong athletic build, athletic with projection.
Hit: RHH. Wider base with relaxed hands. Small stride, gets loaded into strong hitting position, shows twitch and quickness with hands, ball jumps when barreled to all fields.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 80.4 mph. 330’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 84 mph. Short arm action, 3/4 slot, quick arm, accurate with carry through the target, accurate on the run.
Defense: Soft hands, plays low to the ground, easy and clean glove-to-hand release, advanced double play turn.
Run: 6.91 runner in the 60.
Koci is another prospect to keep an eye on in Wisconsin’s junior class. Built at a athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pounds with a strong lower half, Koci’s athleticism aids him in many facets of the game. As a sub-7 runner in the 60-yard dash, Koci is easily able to move from side-to-side while on the infield dirt and pairs it with an arm that has topped at 83 mph in our looks. Offensively, he is a consistent hitter that creates low backspun liners up the middle repeatedly.

Body: 5-11, 175-pounds. Athletic looking frame with a strong lower-half.
Hit: RHH. Wide stock setup. Up down stride. Flatter barrel set with controlled rhythm. Direct to impact with hand control. Working inside on top to the middle of the field repeatedly.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 81.7 mph. 282’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 83 mph. 3/4 action with a shorter loop.
Defense: Gains ground on the ball well while traveling low. Early glove presentation from right to left with a quick and smooth quality. Athletic on the move.
Run: 6.98 runner in the 60.
Koci put together one of the more consistent rounds of BP in the class. It's a short stroke on top of the baseball that created repeated backspin contact back up the middle of the field. He’s well-balanced and athletic in the box, which showed on the infield and in his 60-yard dash (7.18).

Body: 5-9, 150-pounds. Athletic build.
Hit: RHH. Balanced in the box, hands load back in a controlled rhythm, short stride to even with athletic posture through contact. Present bat/hand speed. Barrel stays short through the zone, level plane. Line drive approach, worked the middle of the field with ease and confidence.
Power: 88.29 max exit velocity, averaged 75.51 mph. 270’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - mph. INF - 78 mph. OF - mph. Long arm swing, slightly elevated high 3/4 arm angle. Comfortable working from lower slots, particularly on the move up the middle.
Defense: Active prowess on the infield, athletic lower half that stays low to the ground. Glove fields out front, steady hands, quick hand transfer to release.
Run: 7.18 runner in the 60.
