Chase Waterbury, a 2028 middle infielder from Sandra Day O'Connor High School, was a standout performer at the Swarm Scout Day, making a strong impression among his class. Despite his smaller frame at 5-foot-7, 129 pounds, Waterbury demonstrated advanced maturity in the box, producing consistent hard contact during BP rounds. His flat, compact swing generated low line drives with a max exit velocity of 90 mph and a max distance of 322 feet. Defensively, Waterbury showcased reliable actions and a 76 mph arm across the infield. As he continues to add size and strength, Waterbury has the tools to develop into a key prospect in Arizona's 2028 class.
