Estes is usually on the mound during the games, but for this game he was playing some outfield and was one of the key reasons the Wildcats got on the board in the early innings of the game. Estes just got back on the diamond full time as he’s been in basketball season dominating on the court. Estes pitched in the fall and he was very efficient in his outings, the athleticism seemed to have increased since coming off of the basketball court. The Whitney Wildcats have a lot of arms they can piece together this season to try and get a section title. Estes and Pettey will be a huge part of that considering they are both going to Cal Poly next year as pitchers. Their leadership will help shape the younger guys on the team, and will hopefully keep passing it on. Estes will be getting on the mound soon and will be fun to watch later down the line.
