3/31/26
Brody started the day with a line drive base hit up the middle off an 87mph FB. He went with the pitch and started a rally for RB where they ended up scoring 2 runs in the 2nd inning. Brody has a big and physical frame. He has an extremely strong and powerful LH swing, but stays short and through the ball, looking to do damage the other way. He had loud contact all day with his basehit up the middle, a hard line drive to CF that was caught on the run, and a sac fly to LF. The sacrifice fly was in the bottom of the 6th to help RB gain a much needed insurance run. Brody hunts fastballs, and doesn’t miss. The junior made a great play at 1B where he laid out and picked a hard line drive one-hopper, tossing it to the pitcher at first for the out. He can swing it, and is an athlete. So far on the year Brehm is sporting a .435/.583/.1.322 slash line along with 1HR and 10 RBIs. He was getting deep into counts and grinding at-bats all day, proved by his 11BB to 5K ratio. Brody Brehm is a name to watch as the season finishes out, and looks to be one of the better LHH in the San Diego area.
2/28/26

The Broncos picked up their first win of the year thanks in large part to Brehm. The two-way standout broke the game open in the sixth inning with a pull-side grand slam, continuing his recent stretch of loud performances after also leaving the yard at the San Diego Preseason All-State in January. At 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, Brehm brings an intimidating presence both in the box and on the mound. The frame is physical and imposing, and the power potential is obvious. Defensively, he once again showed soft hands and a sure glove at first base, making two impressive picks to bail out his infielders on errant throws, one of them saving a run and preventing Temecula Valley from taking a lead early on. The two-way ability is real (FB: 84-86, SL 71-72 at SDPSAS), and his confidence continues to grow. Brehm is quickly making a name for himself in San Diego, and with performances like this, he’s firmly planting himself on the radar as a fast-rising 2027 prospect.

Brody Brehm, Rancho Bernardo High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/1B True two-way physical presence, with both sides trending.
Body: 6-5, 227-pounds. Large frame with broad shoulders and a thick lower half. Physical presence stands out immediately.
Delivery: Works from a controlled, deliberate stretch-only delivery. stays compact with limited wasted movement. Generates momentum downhill but doesn’t rely heavily on extension. Repeats the motion well and maintains direction to the plate.
Arm Action: RH. Comes through a high over-the-top release point with consistency. Arm speed shows up without max effort, allowing him to stay around the zone and sequence pitches.
FB: T86, 84-86 mph. Firm offering that he commands well. Ball stays on plane through the zone with enough carry to challenge hitters at the top. Shows confidence throwing it in any count and attacking the strike zone. T2430, 2333 average rpm.
SL: 71-72 mph. Clear secondary weapon. Shows sharp, late movement with the ability to miss bats when thrown with conviction. T2263, 2253 average rpm.
CH: 77-77 mph. Developing third pitch. Thrown with intent and shows separation from the FB. Still gaining consistency, but flashes enough feel to project further growth. T1616, 1606 average rpm.
ATH: 7.61 runner in the 60. 1.71 and 4.16 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Brehm entered the event as an under-the-radar name and left as a name to follow moving into the 2026 season, putting together a strong showing across multiple facets of the game. Offensively, he posted loud metrics across the board, including a 96 mph max exit velocity, 90.5 mph average EV, and a 374-foot max batted distance. That power translated immediately into live action, as he homered in his first at-bat, showing off the same pull-side power he displayed during BP. Brehm also flashed two-way ability on the mound, sitting 84-86 mph with his fastball while spinning it up to 2333 rpm. He showed feel and command of his slider at 71–72 mph, which featured heavy horizontal break with late vertical action, giving him a reliable secondary weapon. With a strong, physical 6-5, 226-pound frame that already stands out and still has room to continue developing over the next two years, Brehm looks like a prospect whose arrow is pointing up and one who will be worth tracking closely throughout the 2026 baseball season.
