Marin slots into the two-hole for the Raiders and the hitterish vibes ooze off of the switch hitter who is an athletic defender in CF and two-sport commit to Benedictine (football) for the next level. Marin starts from a wider base with a controlled load and is confident in his swing decisions tracking the ball into the glove on any offering he does not swing at and then attacking with intent from his lower ½ and hands to produce hard line drive based contact which will play from line to line in a table-setter profile. Marin looks more fluid on the LH side where he worked a deep count strikeout in his first plate appearance missing a potential extra base hit on a ball he turned on foul down RF line and a foul-tip strike three into the glove before coming back to drill an early count FB for a two-RBI single to RF and drew a bases loaded walk to drive in his third run. He had one at bat on the RH side and the swing appeared to have a heavier front foot at foot strike for launch which seemed to effect his track/rhythm in the at bat where the LH side was consistently smooth with confidence in his rhythm likely profiling to a better hit tool on LH side, but slightly more power on the RH side. Marin showed a solid present arm with an accurate one-hop throw to home plate on a base hit up the middle holding the runner at 3B and moves with athleticism around the OF taking solid routes with quickness in the first step profiling to stick there at the next level.
