From his first at bat to his last, Gullage stood out at the plate with a good approach and solid barrel control. In his first at bat, the lefty drove a line drive single to left to bring a run home. A few at bats later, he would drive in 2 more with another opposite field line drive single. He finished the day 3/4 with all 3 hits being line drive singles. He had 3 RBI’s and also notched a stolen base. Gullage’s ability to hit the ball middle to opposite field was on display. He didn’t mind swinging at pitches just below the zone and driving them for base knocks. His approach was impressive as he looked calm at the plate and let his swing work through the ball.
