Stigers continues to build momentum in his sophomore campaign with another solid showing at the plate. He recorded two well-struck balls, with one being a base hit, in the rubber match against Torrey Pines, backing up what has now become a trend in multiple live looks this spring—consistent barrels and a confident presence in the batter's box. Through 55 ABs this spring, Stigers is hitting .309 with 13 RBIs, 2 doubles, a triple, and a home run. His swing stays compact and fluid with the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. He handles different pitch types well, and his approach has shown maturity for a ‘27 underclassman. Defensively, he has spent majority of the time in RF but flashes traits that suggest future CF potential. He moves well laterally, tracks balls down comfortably, and shows sound instincts with a glove that projects to hold up at any outfield spot. The frame is athletic with room for added strength in the next coming years. Stigers has consistently shown quality at-bats and hard contact in each of my two live looks this spring. With continued physical development and polish, he’s shaping up as a name to follow closely from Carlsbad’s talented ‘27 class.
